Rosenborg Castle

Rosenborg was built between 1606 and 1634 by Christian IV as a pleasure palace, beside the King’s Garden. You can see his audience rooms and the bedchamber where he died in 1648, and in the Treasury beneath the castle the Danish crown jewels and regalia, worn by the sitting queen on special occasions (the Royal Danish Collection).
